Et Tu?
Fact: Sometimes your friends are assholes. Just saying. This is unchangeable.
It’s what happens after that fact is established that is important. Do you a) act like an asshole back? b) ignore it and let them walk all over you? c) confront them about it in anger? d) confront them in love? (if this is your answer please explain to me how this happens) e) just blow them off?
There are many more options..these are just the ones I’m considering at the moment, being in this current position.
Anyone want to tell me why one would deliberately engross yourself in a community of Christians where honesty, transparency, and accountability are basically core tenants and then act like a jack ass when the people in that community are honestly holding you accountable? There’s a reason that we are different from a Frat house. And it would be nice if when those differences actually showed themselves it was received with due grace.
Fact: God usually doesn’t allow option e. It would just be too easy.
Now i’m going to go study and throw my anger at my biology professor who I’m not actually mad at. But I’m going to study in spite and anger and make an amazing grade on this next final on Tuesday, purely because Its the most productive way for me to be angry and spiteful.
